My personal thoughts on design involves expressing yourself creatively and searching for different methods to do so. Design is a complicated process because you have to use the elements and motifs associated with a certain subject and arrange it in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and intellectually stimulating to the viewer. Even as an adult, I still struggle a lot with coming up with adequate designs for my assigned projects. I am also very self-deprecating overall about myself, especially when it comes to the visual arts. The reason why I am interested in pursuing design as a career is because I always have been fascinated with the arts since I was a child because I could express myself in my individual style. My individual style defines me and no one else’s, so I felt “free” whenever I lost myself in my ideas and artwork.
